OCCUPIED HEAD is a solo-project of Dieter Mauson from Hamburg. Dieter
started as a bass player and singer in the postpunk / industrial-pop duo
Nostalgie Éternelle in 1986 (when he still lived in Leer, a small town
in the north west of Germany) and was also active with electronic duo
Delta-Sleep-Inducing Peptide (DSIP) from 1989. In the 90ths he was
active with the ambient solo-project MAJESTIC TWELVE. In 1995 he stopped
making music for 15 years. After reactivating his duos he
started his new solo project under the moniker OCCUPIED HEAD in 2011. He
combines electronic, ambient, electro-acoustic and electro pop elements,
mostly avoiding a beat in its conventional way but always keeping a
meditative character.
OCCUPIED HEAD played concerts in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium,
Switzerland, Lithuania, France, Spain, Chile and Peru so far.
Actually Dieter is member of the following duos: Nostalgie Éternelle,
Opfer der Hingabe, DSIP, 7697 Miles, Die Abbilder and The Pulse and the
trio Sauerstofff. He also recorded albums with Boban Ristevski from
Skopje, Melophobia from Thessaloniki and Non Toxique Lost from Berlin.
